Take a trip back to the mid 1970s when that Wild and Crazy Guy, Steve Martin, first graced the stage with his genius brand of anti-comedy. Armed with a banjo, bunny ears, arrow-thru-the-head, and blinding white suit, LET'S GET STEVE! offers a dead on recreation of Steve Martin's stand up years.
Steve Martin's Legacy
Steve Martin’s talent is obvious. And though he hung up his bunny ears years ago, I am amazed at the appreciation his fans still have for that stage of his career. My purpose in recreating his stand up routines is to offer a nostalgic trip back for baby boomers, plus open the doors to a new generation, who weren’t even born yet when he first graced the stage in his white suit, bunny ears, and banjo.
Bio
Wanting something to fall back on if his dreams of being an electrical engineer fell through, Adam graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Theatre. He has had the good fortune to study clowning with Bill Irwin, Geoff Hoyle, and Carlo Mazzone-Clemente. Most recently, Adam collaborated with Rizorkestra on a clown piece called Debt: a Comedy Without Words. His memoir We Got a Bad Potato! about his years as a VIP waiter at Spago and the Ivy is nearing completion.
